About the Project

The Albertini Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Albertini name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Albertini name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Albertini's), by time period (18th Century Albertini's), or by topic (Albertini DNA, Albertini Occupations, Albertini Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

Hi, John. I'm a Mexican citizen in his 60's. My great grandmother from father's branch was an April 1st,1814 Faenza's born woman having Albertini as last name and Teodora as name, who died at Imola on March 4,1882. She was the daughter of Antonio Albertini (son of Stefano and born around 1769) and Maria Montanari, who died aproximately in 1774.

Since Casale Monferrato is pretty close to Emilia-Romagna region, we might be relatives.

Who are your earliest Albertini ancestors and where are they from?

The name originates from Italy and means "son of Albert" or "little Albert".

My earliest known Albertini ancestors were: Karl Georg (Giovanni) Albertini who married Fidelis Rondelli They had a son, Johann Anton Albertini born in Casale Monferrato, Italy on April 6, 1806.

Johann Anton Albertini moved to Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Lower Saxony, Germany He married Johanna Ernestine Antoinette Wagener/Wagoner in Goslar in August 1833 and they had a family.

His son, Friedrich Carl (Carl) Albertini, married Auguste Luise Wilhelmina (Minna) Eisfelder in May 1867 and they then moved to New York City where they had a large family that settled in Brooklyn and Queens.
